The self-proclaimed "museum-quality" standard might seem exaggerated coming from most brands, but it feels perfectly reasonable from GF's perspective. The Balancier QM is nearly identical in size to the Contemporain—both are 39.6 mm in diameter and 12.25 mm thick (including the crystal). Considering the visual depth created by the multi-layered dial, such a compact size is truly remarkable. While the refined design offers more possibilities for creative embellishments, I still miss the Contemporain's angular balance bridge. The debut of the QM hallmark coincides with the commercialization of GF's in-house hairspring, previously limited to the Hand Made 1 and Hand Made 2 watches.
