https://prepurchasecarinspection.ae/I looked at a 2016 Mercedes GLE today in Jumeirah and the car was absolutely spotless. The engine bay looked like it came from the factory, the undercarriage was pressure washed, and even the wheel wells were dressed with tire shine. The seller is asking top dollar and says the car is “immaculate.” I’m suspicious because it almost looks too clean, like they’re hiding something. I know some dealers use degreasers and dressings to make old leaks disappear temporarily. I want to get an inspection but I’m worried the inspector might be fooled by the detailing too. I found a company that offers Dependable Assessment Jumeirah Dubai and they said they know how to look for signs of leaks even after cleaning, like using a UV light or checking for seepage at gaskets. Has anyone here bought a car that was detailed to hide problems and the inspection still caught them? Or did the detailing successfully mask issues? I’m trying to decide if I should walk away just because of the detailing or if I’m being paranoid. The car has 100k km and a clean history otherwise. Any advice would be great. Thanks.
